Key Leader Event:
In cooperation with Kentucky-Tennessee District and Louisiana Mississippi West Tennessee (La-Miss-W.Tenn) District, Key Leader is being hosted at Camp Lakeshore in Eva, TN on May 4-6th, 2012. The event is for high school age students to develop leadership skills and create everlasting friendships. For more information or to register, visit http://www.key-leader.org/Home.aspx.
The state of TN has received a grant from Peyton Manning’s Peyback Foundation for $8,000 to give to participants for Key Leader. There are 20 available grants that will pay $175 of the $200 registration fee for youth involved in other leadership organizations. Please direct inquiries to email@example.com if interested in applying for a grant. We are accepting grant applications until March 30, 2012 and a decision will be made by mid-April for recipients. Key Club members receive $25 off registration.
We are currently taking applications for chaperones and student facilitators. Student facilitators should be in 11th or 12th grade with experience in Key Club or other leadership organizations. Student facilitators help role model leadership skills and provide a positive example to all participants. Chaperones must be over the age of 21 and pass a thorough background check performed by Kiwanis International. We need responsible adults to ensure the students are safe, as well as help facilitate a well-organized weekend. If you are interested in any of these duties, then contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and/or visit http://www.key-leader.org/Home.aspx.
